Getting to know the body, its simple needs, and things it does not need.

It is a miracle to be here. I am a Sacred Universe of Microbes.
I am willing to learn and apply all things right and just to steward my Universe well.
Raw Milk
Source your raw milk unless you are anaphylactic1. If you just have lactose intolerance or any other issues besides a true allergy, you will still source and ferment raw milk. If you are local, we have resources available. If not, you can use the Weston A. Price foundation’s Real Milk resource. They also have local Facebook groups which you can reach out to. Optimal raw milk will be A2/A2, which refers to a type of casein (milk protein) that is easily recognized by the body. It is produced from Jersey cows (and other heritage breeds), goats, sheep, camels, donkeys, horses, etc. Source kefir grains from the WAPF Facebook Group as well. You can order kefir grains online if needed, but it is easier to get kefir started if the grains are active.
If you have not made coconut fat bombs or butter buttons, do so now. Use only raw, local honey. Choose one or make both. Place little drops of the mixture(s) on parchment paper or a cooking sheet and freeze or chill in the fridge. You won’t want to be without these as you can eat them as often as you like until you find yourself not wanting them anymore. Feel free to add more honey if the mixture isn’t sweet enough for you. These little bites will help you to regulate your blood sugar and are a key component to successfully removing the foods that are off the menu. Make sure you have a little cold pack and bag if you go somewhere: don’t leave the house without these (and other) foods. Certain foods are used strategically to make sure we don’t eat the things we need a vacation from (e.g., bread, cake, fruits). Use date syrup if you have a strong reaction to honey, but it’s better to use honey if you can.
Date Syrup:
- Pit Medjool dates and place in bowl
- Cover with hot water (filtered or spring)
- Soak for 30 minutes
- Remove dates from water and put into blender,
adding water slowly until it reaches the consistency of syrup
- It is OK if the dates do not blend perfectly
- Strain, if desired
Die-Off
Prepare yourself for die-off. We are 90% microbes and only 10% human cells. Ideally, those 90% communities consist of good and opportunistic microbes that live in a symbiotic relationship and a few pathogens passing through. Die-off lets us know we are not only out of balance but also that the pathogens are hanging around much too long. Some microbes - like H. Pylori or Candida - are not pathogens; they are opportunistic and need to be in balance, not obliterated. A pathogenic example would be Enterotoxigenic E. coli. If we are well we should have Nissle 1917, a beneficial E. coli that makes sure the pathogenic guys do not get too cozy in our microbiome! So when it comes to our microbiome, the goal is balance. We are not trying to do sudden or extreme cleanses that shift things too quickly, or to have a mindset of obliteration. We want to gently rebalance and allow our microbes to politely ask some folks to pack up and move on. There may be a time in the future for certain measures/cleanses but not for at least a year, and preferably two. This will be discussed in the future.
Develop the mindset that die-off is good. As you shift your microbiome, your pathogens can and will create discomfort. They work strategically and do not want to leave the body. They can cause a myriad of symptoms as mentioned in our article, and they can even cause a temporary return of symptoms you thought were gone for good. Die-off is a beautiful gift because your body is communicating to you that changes are happening! We are not afraid of die off and we do not avoid it. Contrarily, we welcome it lovingly and with curiosity. You can always reduce die-off if you are having a very strong reaction. For example, if kefir is giving you a strong reaction, you could take a break from it for a time, and when ready to reintroduce it, start with a small amount, increasing slowly over time. We will explore detox next week and you will have beautiful tools for supporting your body during die-off. New healing foods should always be introduced slowly in order to minimize die-off. We do not want to go so quickly that the die off is intolerable. You will learn to be excited about die-off because it is like getting a letter in the mail from your body reporting direct healing!
Meat Stock
Continue making meat stock. Make sure you are not making bone broth and are using our recipe. The optimal amount is 6 cups per day and you want to at least be drinking 1 cup every day. Always have jars in the fridge and make new batches before the jars run out. And hopefully, you have sauerkraut ready this week! Yaaaay for powerful probiotics!
Supplementum
If you are ahead of the game, think about the creative activity you may have done last week. Make sure to continue with the creativity, cultivating a daily routine. Make this a new part of your life. Learn about the traditional Massai tribe, who have a diet of just meat, milk, and blood. Learn about their mental, physical and spiritual health.

If you are anaphylactic, you will make an alternative ferment for the same microbial benefits. ↩︎
