Morning Routine
Get geared up to have a morning routine. We will share examples and describe the individual components over the next few weeks so you can gradually add one thing at a time. This week, think about how this fits into your life. Will you need to wake up earlier? You can include children or do on your own. The morning routine removes the need to make decisions when we wake. Our nervous system does not react well to early morning decisions and we need reliability and a message of safety each day, especially in the morning.
Mindset
We will focus on mindset this week. Work to remove fear of symptoms. When a symptom arises, greet it with love and curiosity. Teach yourself to react with calm, bringing yourself back to a neutral state if you get dysregulated. This takes practice (and nutrients!) so just keep working on it until it is natural, no matter how long it takes. Remind yourself that “symptoms are on the way, not in the way” (Junior Ky). If your body is communicating with you, it wants to come to balance. So as long as the body is speaking with you it is a gift! We will not focus on individual issues because the answer is always the same. Nutrients in and toxins out. Give your body a year of consistently doing the steps in this protocol, dusting off your bum if you fall, forgiving yourself, and moving on before even thinking of individual issues.

Every human body needs the foods we are adding in and the detox we are implementing. Give yourself permission to leave Facebook groups that focus on symptoms and have a lot of fear and reactivity: this is not good for the nervous system. Replace any videos that you tend to watch that focus on symptoms or doom and gloom in politics or world events with comedy, fantasy that is light hearted, gentle or funny sitcoms, audio books that are gentle or funny, etc. Remember that your nervous system does not know the difference between what you are watching or listening to and real life. Do not focus on what has been or could be in your body or environment but on what is happening now. Practice staying present and observing life as it comes. For example, if you are doing a task, fully immerse yourself in that task. If you are connecting with another being, focus fully on that person or animal. If you are experiencing a difficult day, just be present with it and learn from it.
Household Items
For cleaning, we will use vinegar, baking soda, lemon, salt, and traditional soap (made with lye and fat). If you wish to have scents, use essential oils only. Revive brand is cost effective and great for this purpose.
Check all the items in your home used for cleaning and personal care. Remove anything with fragrance. Your liver is being burdened by anything with parfum or fragrance, even “natural fragrance”. Your personal care products will be replaced with 100% non-toxic items. If you can’t eat it, do not put it on your skin. Think of your skin as a mouth because it absorbs over 70% of what is comes into contact with. We will give replacement suggestions next week.
Detox Baths
Make sure you are taking detox baths everyday.
Cooking
Make a recipe from our Full GAPS meal plan for dinner; make it in bulk so you can have it for three nights.
Supplementum
We all need to work on mindset so there are no extra learning opportunities this week.
