Focus:
Connecting with your intuition — trust that a neutral, calm feeling about something means you are connecting with your intuition.
A feeling of fear, urgency, or any excitatory feeling means the decision is coming from dysregulation, not intuition.
Repetition:
I am connected with my intuition.
My intuition knows what my body needs, and it speaks to me from a place of calm and neutrality.
I will slow down and take the time to listen to my intuition and make measured decisions.
This week we are going to work on more on laughter, changing the way we think and speak, and staying neutral and honest with ourselves.
We will begin increasing fat strategically.
Laughter
Laughter is truly one of the best medicines. I want you to purposefully seek out laughter. We are watching comedy, and now we will add in smiles and laughter whether we mean it or not! Haha!
Laughter yoga is a way to laugh without being prompted. Our nervous system does not know we are not really laughing, so this is a beautiful remedy to assist our ANS (autonomic nervous system). There are many videos on YouTube to learn about this.
Bring awareness to your face. Keep a slight smile or a wide smile on your face as often as possible — make it a habit. Smile with your eyes, and soften your face. Practise smiling every time you see another face, even online, even pets.
Honesty and Neutrality
We want to approach life with honesty and neutrality. To change our outlook, we never want to be falsely positive — it does not help us in any way unless it is authentic. We should change the way we think and speak: from “This food is nasty” to “The taste of this food is new to me; it is a challenge, and I will keep trying.” From “I am so stressed and this day is overwhelming” to “I am in this moment right now. I feel my feet on the floor. I am present, and this is how I heal.” We do not have to say “This day is great and I can handle everything,” because that is not true. Stay in the moment, and remember that this is the most healing place to be — right here, right now.
Being Still
Keep up with lying flat on the floor or “just being” between activities, or at least a few times a day. Make this a regular practice.
Increasing Fat
We should be increasing fat by a teaspoon per week, being very consistent. Our gallbladder, or liver if you have no gallbladder, needs the same amount of fat every day, so begin to increase and then keep it consistent. If you are experiencing issues with fat, go back to an amount you can handle easily and increase by only 1/2 teaspoon per week.
If you have trouble with fat absorption, it is OK to stay at a level you tolerate. This can be from pathogens and we will address it in the future.
This seems like a short week, but it is actually a lot of work! We will not add anything else this week, so that you can focus on mindset and perception shifts and increasing fats, which in turn helps us have a better mindset!
What a beautiful thing you are doing for yourself!!
Recipe Suggestion
If you would like to try a new recipe this week, try a carnivore bread grilled cheese with fried red onion, smashed avocado (if local), salted whipped rosemary butter, or a nice cold fermented cream dip. Delicious!
