ARP: Week 55

Focus: Relaxing into our journey, knowing we are travelling the right way and are exactly where we need to be.
Repetition: I am healing this miraculous body that has been generationally and environmentally wounded. I was born for such a time as this. I am here, now, for this purpose.

A Check-In

This week, we will check in! Let’s reevaluate how things are going!

What are you implementing daily? How has it helped you? What are you still showing resistance to?

There is a lot of information in this protocol, and some of it does not need to be implemented until you are solidly working on your foundations. For example, trying to work on posture in the first year for someone with dysautonomia or EDS would be very difficult and would be a source of exhaustion. There are certain foundations that should be in place before you start adding in protocols that we could think of as “finishing touches.”

Someone with a good foundation of health will not actually struggle with posture and may just need to work on the habit of rounding the shoulders. We need to be making our serotonin, have good collagen absorption and production, good HRV, good vagal tone, a strong core, not be mouth breathing, and basically have a certain level of health before we begin serious adjustments for posture.

Let Us Revisit Our Foundations

  1. Ancestral food from the “On the Menu” lists.
  2. Not eating food that has a low benefit to high cost ratio. Eating potatoes will not get you where you need to be.
  3. Consistency is non-negotiable. Are you still skipping certain foundations? Remember, it is better to create a routine that you can still do on your most difficult day than to create a “perfect” routine that you skip a day or more each week or month.
  4. Light hygiene is necessary. Are you spending your morning and evening outside at the very least, with a midday visit? This cannot be valued enough. Are you spending too much time on screens? If so, switch to audio at least, keeping in mind that the content matters greatly to your limbic system.
  5. Are you in a good space with your limbic system? What are your automatic thoughts and words at this point? Do you easily think and speak of things in an authentically positive or neutral light?
  6. Are you in a good space with your somatic practices? Are you doing your meditation, slowness, presence, and gentle movement?
  7. Are you laughing every day?
  8. Are you experiencing community, even if it is online in real time?
  9. Are you grounding? Even if it is cold, you can touch trees, use grounding shoes, etc.
  10. Are you forgiving, releasing guilt and shame, and viewing others and the world through a lens of safety and invitation?
  11. Are you paying attention to what you are resistant to?
  12. Are you doing cold therapy?

We want to reevaluate our journey, not to judge but to adjust if needed. We do things in repetition until they become automatic. We do that gently, with easy, slow steps. We do not think of this journey as, “I will add in this supplement, herb, or one thing and I will be better in a few months.” There is nothing “wrong” with you; your body just needs support.

Your journey is not the same as someone else’s. The things you have to learn and the person you are becoming are unique to your journey. There are core, fundamental truths and methods throughout this protocol.

You will not find that something in the protocol is “not for me.” For example, the sun is for everyone, and nature is for everyone. It is not possible that your body is so different from all the other bodies. We are much more the same than we are different. These foods are not a short list to endure but a bounty of nutrients, and they are for everyone. Every single human being needs these foods to heal. (It is OK if you are not tolerating certain things at this point; you will get there.)

Final Necessity

Are you incredibly grateful for your path? Are you keeping up with your daily gratitude? For your beautiful days AND for the difficult ones? Are you grateful when the hard things present themselves, because they are an opportunity for change and growth? Are you grateful for the steps provided to you for a new body, a new life, and a change that heals the whole world?

How are you doing at this point? It may be useful to spend a day considering what you are doing well and what needs adjustment and attention.

Trust the slow build. You are exactly where you need to be.
