Pine Needle Kvass

 

Ingredients

  • pine needles
  • 2 T fruit
  • 1 t whey
  • filtered or spring water

Directions

  • Fill quart jar with one layer of pine needles, standing on end: full but not packed tight
  • Add fruit and whey
  • Fill to shoulders with water
  • Lid and allow to ferment two weeks, or until flavor is no longer weak
